Safe Routes To School

Minnesota Safe Routes to School (SRTS) is a statewide effort to make it safe, convenient, and fun for all youth to walk, bike, and roll to school and in daily life. Walking or biking to, from, and during school is an easy way for students to get exercise, stay healthy, and arrive at school ready to learn.

The 6 E's of SRTS

The 6 E’s provide the foundation for the Safe Routes to School Program. The Safe Routes to School Plan for your community will include a balanced approach – from recommendations for physical engineering improvements on the ground – to in class activities and instruction to build skills and encourage walking and biking.
